Finally, based on this specialization, students are required to complete a graduation thesis.

Faculty of Well-being Studies

The Faculty of Well-being Studies nurtures women who respect life, human dignity, and diverse ways of living, and who can lead independent lives while coexisting with others. Students will develop insight into the interrelationships between people, society, and nature, which enables them to confront the increasingly diverse and complex issues of daily life. With a global perspective that transcends national boundaries, students will be prepared to address real-world problems utilizing practical and informed decision-making.

Department of Food Environment

The Department of Food Environment focuses on the study and education of food and nutrition from the perspective of human life and social relationships. Through a curriculum that builds from introductory to advanced levels, students develop information literacy, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as professional expertise. The Department aims to cultivate women who can think flexibly and objectively with a scientific mindset. We also aim to educate women who can become registered dietitians with the ability to accurately and empathetically communicate health and nutrition information, thereby improving quality of life and contributing to society.

Department of Educational Well-being for Children

The Department of Educational Well-being for Children offers a curriculum that provides the knowledge and skills needed to support and educate children from infancy through childhood—a critical period that lays the foundation for human development. The program aims to train educators who can understand the continuity of child development and education—from the early stages through to adolescence—and who can contribute to their communities with a broad and socially engaged perspective. Over four years, students gain the ability to understand child development, the roles of families and communities in this development, and ways to effectively collaborate with related institutions. The Department’s goal is to develop women who work closely with children and their caretakers in either specialist or supporting roles in order to make meaningful contributions to society.
