Diploma Policy (Degree Conferral Guidelines)

To achieve the educational objectives of this department, the diploma policy is defined as follows:

  • Attain a comprehensive understanding of the broad field of life sciences, acquire scientific expertise and practical skills related to daily life, and learn how to enhance one's quality of life. (Knowledge and Skills) 
  • Based on comprehensive knowledge of daily life acquired through academic study, examine various problems concerning daily life and regional communities from multiple perspectives, and develop solutions. (Specialized Competency)  
  • Utilize expertise and skills in life sciences to organize ideas collaboratively with others, as well as plan, manage, and evaluate projects. (Specialized Competency)  
  • Develop data literacy and the ability to interpret and utilize data related to daily life and regional issues in order to propose effective solutions. (Specialized Competency)  
  • Apply scientific knowledge, scientific thinking, and specialized techniques from one's field of study to improve the quality of life across all generations, from children to the elderly. (Problem-Solving Skills)  
  • Accurately grasp challenges encountered in daily life, actively engage with people of diverse viewpoints, and contribute to the development of the local community. (Communication Skills)  

Department of Food Environment

To achieve the educational objectives of this department, the diploma policy is defined as follows:

  1. Collect, process, and logically analyze domestic and international information related to food and nutrition, and then effectively present findings. (Information Literacy)
  2. Analyze and think logically about food and health-related issues based on scientific evidence and then proactively develop solutions. (Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills)
  3. Build positive interpersonal relationships based on strong communication skills. (Communication Skills)
  4. Possess the fundamental knowledge and skills required for a registered dietitian and contribute to society through roles in public health, medical care, welfare, education, and food development and manufacturing by supporting human health through nutrition and food. (Specialized Competency)

Department of Child Education
